BIO
At the age of 13, I held my first analogue camera in my hand and I quickly realised that the playful handling of focus and image details in photography opened up new and creative perspectives. In order to master the entire process of analogue photography, I spent a large part of my free time in the school laboratory learning how to develop and enlarge.
After graduating from high school, I studied photography and film in Bielefeld and New York.
After graduating, I co-founded a MarTech company and worked for automotive brands such as Ford, Land Rover, Jaguar, Kia, Renault, Opel and PEUGEOT.
In order to have more time for personal projects, I have decided to step down as Managing Director in 2023 and sell my shares in the company.
Since 2024 I have been devoting myself to personal photo/film projects and individual commissioned work.
My Style
My photographic style is strongly inspired by Ernst Haas and his approach,
not always to discover something new, but to see what already exists in a new light.
I associate photojournalism with artistic and creative approaches to photographs that often have a second level that you have to immerse yourself in to “experience” them.
My particular passion is analogue film photography. However, the technology used depends on the project goals. Depending on the project, I use different techniques and film formats.
My personal demands on my work are:
"You can see it - if you feel it"
